In the arid Mountain West, we believe that traditional turfgrass lawns and thirsty ornamental plants are relics of the past. While much of our planting design hinges on xeric, water- wise plantings, we will bend the rule for productive, perennial and annual food crops. In recognizing the precious nature of water, we opt to use it for food forward planting schemes that promote health, connection, and soil building.

Living Landscapes specializes in construction of raised planter beds and building beautiful annual production spaces as well as designing and installing "food forests". These planting schemes mimic the layers of a forest and may consist of a canopy, sub- canopy, shrub, groundcover, and vining layer.
